The Face Of Dublin Fashion Festival

Darren Kennedy is unveiled as The Face Of Dublin Fashion Festival

Exciting news this week which I'm finally able to share....I'm the Face of the Dublin Fashion Festival in association with Galaxy 2016. I'm the first male face of the festival which is an honor. Here's the full press release below grin

The Dublin Fashion Festival, in association with GALAXY®, proudly announced the dates for the 2016 festival, which will take place from 5th September to 11th September.

As part of the must attend gala night celebrations, the Dublin Fashion Festival proudly unveiled TV presenter, designer and style influencer, Darren Kennedy, as the Face of the Festival and Galaxy style ambassador – the first man to take on the coveted role, reflecting the growing appeal of the festival with both men and women.

The festival has grown immensely over the past seven years, and organisers, DublinTown, promise this year it will be even bigger and better than ever before with the support of festival title sponsor, Galaxy. The festival is a key date in the calendar for the style industry and community. It brings style to the top of everyone’s conversations during the week of the festival and, accessible-to-all fashion fixes, can be found all across Dublin city. The vast majority of festival events are open to the public with exciting in-store events, exhibitions, daily on-street catwalk shows and night-time runway spectaculars, not to mention everyday luxury chocolate treats and fashion events brought to life exclusively by sponsor GALAXY®.

Darren Kennedy said; I am delighted not only to be GALAXY®’s ambassador but also to be named as the Face of the Dublin Fashion Festival, in association with GALAXY®.  Style has become truly democratic in its appeal and, at its heart, the festival is a celebration of style and fashion with a commitment to make it accessible to all.  I’m really looking forward to being part of the festival and highlighting not just the fashion this city has to offer but also the innate style of the city’s inhabitants. Dublin city has always been a home to creative and stylish people and there are few better places to shop. Coming on board was a really simple decision for me as it represents two things that are already part of my life, a love of style and of course a love of great chocolate.
