As I know many of you have seen (thanks for the lovely messages on social media btw, I really appreciated them...), all last week I took the hotseat in TV3 to co-host their flagship entertainment series Xposé. Across the week I joined the gorgeous Glenda Gilson and Cassie Stokes in studio on the nightly show while on Monday I hosted it solo. As a longtime friend of the show, I was delighted to be guest hosting for the week. So far I've spent most of the summer travelling from London and Paris Fashion Weeks, to the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix so it was a real treat be back on home turf, and catch up with the TV3 gang. As the first male host of the series in quite sometime, I wanted to make sure I was repping the boys on the style front. Here's a roundup of my outfits and looks.
Monday was all about the blues (but in a good way!) with a two-piece tailored suit. It was my first day guest hosting so I wanted to go for a gently tailored look and this texture woven suit in baby blue suit woven was ideal for the lovely summer day that it was. The colour really popped on screen too. I kept suit dressed down for a more casual look by mixing it with a simple lightweight knit navy top and navy textured sneakers (an option for both casual and tailored looks). This full outfit is from Remus Uomo.
For Tuesday’s show, I went for an ensemble of classics with this navy grandfather collar shirt. This lightweight number is kept contemporary with short sleeves and a fitted cut. Keeping the look clean and crisp, I paired it with stone coloured chinos and another classic in this chocolate brown suede pair of Chelsea boots...perhaps the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve worn this year! The suede Chelsea boot is currently the trending shoe in menswear and the best part is they can go with almost every outfit. This full look is from Marks & Spencer.
To get me over hump day, I injected a little more colour into my look with this striped top with retro vibes from Topman. Letting the top make a statement, I wore navy speckled trousers (part of a Hugo Boss suit) and my favourite oxblood penny loafers from Tommy Hilfiger.
The weekend was already in the air come thursday and even though I had no excited plans, I decided to go for off-duty Riviera vibes. Anchoring this look is a white pair of Tommy Hilfiger chinos. White jeans/trousers are an ideal option for the summer months and they offer a welcome relief from heavier shades of indigo or black. The relaxed cut, was neither too tailored nor too loose), was perfect. I styled these with a navy top with shirt collar detailing and a paisley pattern and a pair of brown leather boots. This full look is from BEST menswear.
For Friday’s show, I kept the colour muted but played up texture with this fitted, grey on grey cotton polo. Lightweight and breathable with a signature slim fit, it's thoughtfully detailed with a graphic pattern. You could team it with everything from chinos and brogues to jeans and trainers. I opted for navy trousers and navy trainers for a simple but chic Friday evening style which took me from studio straight to friday night drinks. This full look is from Remus Uomo.
I had such a brilliant time with the Xpose crew, really enjoyed it. Rounding off a fab week, Glenda surprised me with a gorg bunch of flowers on air at the end of Friday's show. Thanks to all the Xpose team and to all the viewers for their lovely comments!
