Hosting with the Hugo Boss Ambassador in London
This week I had the pleasure of hosting an interview Q&A with Chris Hemsworth, Hugo Boss' new fragrance ambassador, to celebrate 20 years of the iconic fragrance and Chris' partnership with the brand, in front of a live audience at London's Shangri-La hotel at the Shard.
At 6ft 3in Chris towered above anyone else in the room. He's booming Australian-accented instantly recognisable as Thor. I have to say I found him very refreshing, very relaxed and we had a good laugh. Unlike many A-list Hollywood stars, Chris talked openly about his wife and children, and how they help him maintain balance in an otherwise hectic life.
He's very humble so I wasn't surprising when to hear that he made the decision to leave Los Angeles and relocate his family to Australia a couple of years ago. Life there for him is all about the outdoors, and the ocean.
We all know that fragrance is so powerful when it comes to bringing back vivid memories and Chris revealed that his strongest fragrance memory relates to coastal plants and Australia's native eucalyptus tree, and wax for his surfboard. "When I smell them, I'm transported back... it hits me where my life was at that moment...Certain board waxes remind me of when there was just nothing to worry about but catching that next wave."
